Nokia (NYSE: NOK) is looking to get back in the limelight, and is expected to spend boatloads to do it.
According to the U.K.'s Marketing Magazine, Nokia may spend up to and possibly beyond, £80 million (about $130 million) on promotion for it's new line of Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows phones.
The campaign is expected to roll out in October.
Though Nokia is still the world's largest mobile OEM, recent surges from Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iOS and Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android-based devices have cost some market share from the Espoo, Finland-based company.
Both Nokia and Microsoft need this campaign to work. Recent reports suggest Microsoft's Windows Phone may have lost about 35 percent of its market share following a debut late last year.
