Motorola (MOT) to Complete Separation of Motorola Mobility Holdings on Jan. 4; Motorola Inc. to Trade on NYSE as 'MSI'

Motorola (NYSE: MOT) has announced that it will complete the separation of Motorola Mobility Holdings, Inc. from Motorola on January 4, 2011 through a tax-free dividend related to the distribution of all Motorola Mobility common stock held by Motorola to Motorola shareholders.
Additionally, the company's Board has approved a 1-for-7 reverse stock split of shares of Motorola common stock following the distribution.
On the above date, Motorola, Inc. will change its name to Motorola Solutions, Inc. and will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol MSI, and Motorola Mobility Holdings, Inc. will begin trading on the NYSE under the ticker symbol MMI.
