GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOLR) 23.3% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.08, 10 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.18. Revenue for the quarter was $138.5 million, versus the consensus of $151.29 million. Sees FY10 sales of $450-$550 million, versus the consensus of $554.12 million. EPS for the year are expected to be in the range of $0.45-$0.60, versus the Street estimate of $0.71.

Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE: CLF) 15.1% LOWER; announced that it is offering to sell, subject to market and other conditions, 12,000,000 common shares through an underwritten offering. Also decided to cut its dividend by 55% to $0.04 from $0.0875. Cliffs Natural Resources said the action would result in an annual cash savings of approximately $22 million.
MGM MIRAGE (NYSE: MGM) 15% LOWER; has commenced an underwritten public offering of 81.0 million shares of its common stock. It is expected that the offering will have gross proceeds of approximately $1 billion. MGM MIRAGE also announced that it proposes to make a private placement of $1.5 billion in aggregate principal amount of senior secured notes in two tranches due 2014 and 2017, respectively.
