Morning Movers 3/6: Wells Fargo (WFC) Up On Dividend Cut, FairPoint (FRP) Slammed On Results

FairPoint Communications, Inc. (NYSE: FRP) 40% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $0.85, compared to a loss of $0.11. Revenues for the quarter were $319.3 million, versus the consensus of $322.74 million. Raises its FY09 capex guidance from $180-$200 million to $190-$210 million.

On2 Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ONT) 38% LOWER; reports Q4 GAAP loss of $0.06, compared to a loss of $0.01 in the same quarter last year. Revenues for the quarter were $3.6 million, versus $6.1 million in the same quarter last year.

Insulet Corporation (Nasdaq: PODD) 30% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $1.02, including items, so does not compare to the analyst estimate of ($0.64). Revenues for the quarter were $11.9 million, versus the consensus of $12.31 million. Sees FY09 sales of $55-$65 million, versus the consensus of $77.72 million. Sees a net loss of $50-$60 million.

Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: FSYS) 28% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.04, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenues for the quarter were $84.3 million, versus the consensus of $91.42 million. MORE

ArcSight, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARST) 24% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.21 adjusted, 13 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.08. Revenues for the quarter were $36.4 million, versus the consensus of $32.68 million. Sees Q4 EPS 9c to 15c versus 10 cents. Sees Q4 revenues $34M to $38M versus $33.8 million. Sees FY09 EPS 41c to 48c versus 40 cents. Sees FY09 revenues $130.9M to $135M versus $148.4 million.

Smith Micro Software (Nasdaq: SMSI) 17.1% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.28, ex-items, versus the analyst estimate of $0.19. Revenues for the quarter were $26.45 million, versus the consensus of $27.48 million. Sees FY09 sales of $110-$115 million, versus the consensus of $113.24 million.

Dialysis Corporation of America (Nasdaq: DCAI) 11% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.09, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.09. Revenues for the quarter were $23.7 million, versus the consensus of $22.90 million.

H & R Block (NYSE: HRB) 10% HIGHER; solid Q3 earnings. MORE

ESCO Technologies (NYSE: ESE) 9% HIGHER; ESE will replace Watson Wyatt (NYSE: WW) in the S&P SmallCap 600.

Depomed (Nasdaq: DEPO) 8.8% HIGHER; reports Q4 loss of $0.22, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.26). Revenues for the quarter were $8.7 million, versus the consensus of $6.49 million.

Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (Nasdaq: MRVL) 8.1% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.05, ex-items, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.01. Revenues for the quarter were $513 million, versus the consensus of $510.86 million. Cutting 15% of jobs.

BT Group plc (NYSE: BT) 7% LOWER; Moragn Stanley downgrades

National Cinemedia (Nasdaq: NCMI) 7% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.25, 1 cent lower than the analyst stimate of $0.26. Revenues for the quarter were $112.4 million, versus the consensus of $110.53 million. Sees Q1 revs of $70-$73 million, versus the consensus of $68 million.

Union Drilling, Inc. (Nasdaq: UDRL) 5.6% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.19, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenues for the quarter were $80.9 million, versus the consensus of $78.79 million.

Macy's, Inc. (NYSE: M) 5% HIGHER; Goldman adds to Buy list.  MORE

Dynamic Materials (Nasdaq: BOOM) 4.6% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.43, 13 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.56. Revenues for the quarter were $58.6 million, versus the consensus of $63.39 million. Sees Q1 sales down 15-20% sequentially, with '09 revs down 12-20%.

Northeast Utilities (NYSE: NU) 4% HIGHER; will replace Tyco Int'l (NYSE: TYC) in the S&P 500.

Hurray! Holding Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: HRAY) 4% LOWER; reports a Q4 loss of $0.42 vs. consensus for $0.01 profit - may not be comparable. Revenues were $14.4 million vs. $15.00 million consensus (NOTE - only 1 analyst) For the first quarter of 2009, Hurray! expects its total consolidated revenues to be between $12 and $13 million. (Consensus is $14.30 million)
