Terex Corporation (NYSE: TEX) 27% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $4.84, which may not compare to the analyst estimate of $0.61. Revenue for the quarter was $2.08 billion, versus the consensus of $2.28 billion. Warned that 2009 sale may fall as much at 35% and may default on debt covenants

Strayer Education, Inc. (Nasdaq: STRA) 17% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $1.71, 1 cent better than estimates. Revenues were $114.3 million vs. $113.53 million consensus. Based on the strong enrollment growth announced for the 2009 winter term and the planned investments in opening new campuses, the Company estimates first quarter 2009 diluted EPS will be in the range of $1.96 to $1.98. American Italian Pasta Co. (Nasdaq: AIPC) 15% HIGHER; Reported Q1 EPS of $1.23, well above the consensus of $0.43. Revenues were $171.2 million, versus the consensus of $146.25 million.

The company said that worldwide macro economic conditions, tight credit markets and resulting issues with project financing are negatively impacting the solar industry.

Jarden Corporation (NYSE: JAH) 8% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.83, versus the analyst estimate of $0.74. Revenue for the quarter was $1.4 billion, versus the consensus of $1.3 billion.
Sequenom (Nasdaq: SQNM) 7% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of $0.25, 7 cents lower than the analyst estimate of ($0.18). Revenue for the quarter was $12.2 million, versus the consensus of $13.79 million.

Marriott sees Q1 EPS of 0.13-$0.15, ex-items, below the consensus of $0.21. Marriott sees FY09 EPS of $0.86-$1.04, ex-items, versus the consensus of $1.10.
Aetna (NYSE: AET) 3% LOWER; reports Q4 earnings of $0.96 per share, above the consensus of $0.94. Revenues came in at $7.98 billion, versus the consensus of $7.96 billion. Aetna sees FY09 EPS of $3.85-$3.95 versus the consensus of $3.87.
Viacom (NYSE: VIA.b) 2.6% LOWER; reports Q4 earnings of $0.76 per share, below the consensus of $0.77. Revenues came in at $4.24 billion, versus the consensus of $4.24 billion.
