Morning Movers 1/22: Apple (AAPL) Higher On Results, Microsoft (MSFT) Lower On Earnings Miss/Job Cuts

(Nasdaq: IWOV) 30% LOWER; entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Autonomy Corporation plc, a global leader in infrastructure software, for $16.20 in cash per share for a total transaction value of approximately $775 million. Shares of Interwoven closed at $11.84 yesterday.
Eclipsys (Nasdaq: ECLP) 30% LOWER; expects Q4 EPS 7c to 11c versus consensus of 35 cents. Eclipsys predicts Q4 sales of $124 million to $127 million versus consensus of $136.62 million
Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY) 20% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.84, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.78. Revenue for the quarter was $467.1 million, versus the consensus of $489.78 million. Sees Q1 EPS of $0.50-$0.55, versus the consensus of $0.78. For FY09, EPS are expected to be $2.70-$2.80, versus the Street estimate of $3.40.
DryShips, Inc. (Nasdaq: DRYS) 18% LOWER; sees Q4 adj-EPS well below the street, cuts CAPEX, suspends dividend.
Amdocs Limited (NYSE: DOX) 16% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.35, versus the analyst estimate of $0.55. Revenue for the quarter was $753.8 million, versus the consensus of $792.18 million. Sees Q2 sales of $700-$720 million, versus the consensus of $792.8 million and EPS of $0.47-$0.51, versus the Street estimate of $0.57.
LSI Industries (Nasdaq: LYTS) 14% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS ex-items of ($0.01), 3 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter was $61 million, versus the consensus of $62 million. LSI Industries sees FY09 EPS 16c-20c versus consensus of $0.16. LSI Industries sees FY09 revenue $250M to $265M versus consensus of $254 million.
Seagate Technology (NYSE: STX) 13% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of ($0.23), versus the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenue for the quarter was $2.3 billion, versus the consensus of $2.46 billion. Seagate sees Q3 revenue $1.6B to $2B versus consensus of $2.2 billion.
eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY) 13% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.41, ex-items, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.39. Revenue for the quarter was $2.04 billion, versus the consensus of $2.12 billion. Sees Q1 revs of $1.8-$2.05 billion, versus the consensus of $2.1 billion and EPS of $0.32-$0.34, versus the Street estimate of $0.40.
Jones Apparel (NYSE: JNY) 12% LOWER; sees FY08 EPS of $0.85-0.88, versus prior guidance of $0.93-$0.98 and consensus is $0.90. For the fourth quarter of 2008, the Company expects to report an adjusted loss per share from continuing operations in a range of $(0.03) to $(0.06). The consensus is a loss of $0.01. The Company's Board of Directors has determined to reduce the Company's quarterly cash dividend from $0.14 per share to $0.05 per share
The Sherwin-Williams Company (NYSE: SHW) 12% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.42, versus the analyst estimate of $0.53. Revenue for the quarter was $1.699 billion, versus the consensus of $1.83 billion. Sees Q1 sales down by high-single-to-low-teens percentage compared to Q108. EPS for the quarter are expected to be $0.05-$0.25, versus the Street estimate of $0.52. For FY09, net sales will fall below 2008 by a low-to-middle single-digit percentage, with EPS of $3.00-$4.00, versus the Street estimate of $4.37
Nokia (NYSE: NOK) 12% LOWER; Q4 net income fell to 576 million euros from 1.84 billion euros a year ago. Revenues fell 20% to 12.7 billion euros. EPS was EUR 0.26, below the consensus of EUR 0.28.
Sony Corp (NYSE: SNE) 11% LOWER; expects a net loss of 150 billion yen, or $1.7 billion, for the full year ending March 31. The company had see net income of 150 billion yen. This will be the company's first loss in 14 years. On the top-line, Sony sees revenue of 7700 billion yen, versus prior forecast of 9000 billion yen.
Koppers Holdings Inc. (NYSE: KOP) 8% LOWER; lowers its expected FY08 adj-EPS growth from 37-41% to 25-29%.
Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) 7.5% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.47, 2 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.49. Revenue for the quarter was $16.63 billion, versus the consensus of $17.08 billion. Cutting up to 5,000 jobs. Won't offer quantitative revenue/EPS view for full year.
Logitech International SA (Nasdaq: LOGI) 7% LOWER; Citi downgrades to Sell
Knight Capital Group Inc. (Nasdaq: NITE) 7% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.56, cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.38. Revenue for the quarter was $330.2 million, versus the consensus of $261.8 million.
Cerner Corp. (Nasdaq: CERN) 7% LOWER; Oppenheimer Downgrades to Perform
Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) 6% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $1.78, versus the analyst estimate of $1.39. Revenue for the quarter was $10.1 billion, versus the consensus of $9.75 billion. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.90-$1.00, versus the consensus of $1.13 and revs of $7.6-$8 billion, versus the consensus of $8.2 billion.
Petsmart Inc. (Nasdaq: PETM) 3.7% LOWER; Citi downgrades
Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation (NYSE: PVH) 3% LOWER; announced today that it has initiated a series of actions to respond to the current economic conditions by restructuring certain of its operations and implementing a number of other cost reduction efforts. Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) 3% LOWER; reports Q4 earnings of $2.05 per share, versus the consensus of $1.92. Revenues came in at $11.13 billion, versus the consensus of $11.08 billion. Lockheed Martin sees FY09 EPS of $7.05-7.25, below prior guidance of $7.65-$7.92 and consensus of $7.83 consensus. Lockheed Martin sees FY09 sales of $44.7-$45.7 billion, versus prior guidance of $44.25-$45.25 billion, and the consensus of $45.25 billion.
Wyeth (NYSE: WYE) 3% LOWER; UBS downgrades to Neutral
JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE: JPM) 2% HIGHER; CEO James Dimon bought 500,000 shares on 1/16 at $22.93
