Microsoft (MSFT) Slams Both Google (GOOG) and Apple (AAPL) in Privacy Breach

Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) loves to issue a good ol' Google-bashing whenever it gets the chance. And today is a very good day for one.
Earlier in the session Friday, reports suggested Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) was tracking users of Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) Safari browser employed on iPhones, iPads and Mac computers. Despite Safari being designed to block tracking, Google engineers created a way in, drawing much criticism in the process.
Microsoft IE Business and Marketing GM Ryan Gavin took to Microsoft's official blog with a response and chance to place Internet Explorer (IE) as a more "user friendly" alternative to Google.
In the post, Gavin stated: "Through unique built in features like Tracking Protection and other privacy features in IE9, you are in control of who is tracking your actions online. Not Google. Not advertisers. Just you." Gavin also said, "Tracking Protection in IE9 is recognized as some of the strongest privacy protection in the industry."
Well, looking at it now, this is Microsoft also bashing Apple for its Safari browser being unable to withstand the coding genii. In one fell swoop, Microsoft manages to place both Google and Apple into the "dysfunctional" basket.
Shares of all three are lower on the session, with Apple being closest to flat.
