Microsemi Corporation (Nasdaq: MSCC) announced today that it has shipped a cumulative 100 million units of its Wireless LAN RF power amplifiers.
"Microsemi's RF power amplifiers continue to be designed into the world's leading WLAN platforms by customers and reference design partners who have grown to expect our superior performance and best-in-class power efficiency," said Steve Litchfield, Microsemi Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Analog Mixed Signal Group. "Our portfolio of RF power amplifiers enables the development of high-performance WLAN solutions that provide extended range, superior reception, and reduced power consumption for various WLAN standards including 802.11a/b/g and 802.11n."
Microsemi RF power amplifiers are used in a variety of applications ranging from mobile handsets to wireless access points and half mini-cards for notebooks and netbooks. Reference designs with market-leading WLAN chipset manufacturers are available for many of Microsemi's power amplifiers.
