Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (NYSE Amex: MCZ) has opened a representative office in Barcelona, Spain, headed by German Benac, Market Development Representative - Spain/Portugal. The new office opening is consistent with the Company's initiatives to increase its global penetration of markets for its products as it seeks to expand its business in Spain and Portugal.
"Although Spain and Portugal are still facing economic difficulties, with a combined population over 50 million people, we view them as important growth markets for Mad Catz over the long term," said Darren Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz. "Establishment of this representative office will help enhance our position in these key Southern European territories as we continue to grow our global outreach."
