LCA-Vision Inc. (LCAV) Reports 30% Increase in SSS Procedures During Q4
LCA-Vision Inc. (NASDAQ: LCAV) today reported that 14,205 procedures were performed during the fourth quarter of 2011, an increase of 30% compared with 10,891 procedures during the fourth quarter of 2010. Same-store procedures increased by 33% from 10,671 procedures during the fourth quarter of 2010, the fifth consecutive quarter of year-over-year same-store procedure growth.
"We are delighted with the 30% year-over-year growth in procedures, and our discussions with industry sources support our belief that we again gained market share during the quarter," said LCA-Vision Chief Operating Officer David L. Thomas. "While focusing on improvements in our core business, we are embarking on a diversification strategy to further support future growth and profitability by expanding into cataract and premium intraocular lens (IOL) surgeries, as well as adding a co-management offering that could provide a referral base for LASIK, cataract and premium IOL patients."
