KYTHERA Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: KYTH) today announced that the company has been added to each of the broad-market Russell 3000 Index, the Russell 2000® Index, the Russell Microcap Index and the Russell Global Index as part of Russell's quarterly IPO additions effective as of the close of trading on December 21, 2012.

Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies. An industry-leading $3.9 trillion in institutional assets currently are benchmarked to them.
