Jacobs (JEC) Gets Engineering Services Contract from Methanex (MEOH)
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today it was awarded a contract from Methanex Corporation (Nasdaq: MEOH) to provide engineering services for a potential methanol production facility in Louisiana. The plant would be relocated from Chile to Louisiana and could be operational in the second half of 2014.
Jacobs is currently executing site-specific engineering for the 225-acre location in Geismar, La. from its offices in Baton Rouge, La.; Santiago, Chile; and Marble Arch, London, UK. The project is expected to create numerous direct and indirect job employment opportunities.
