Revenue channeled to information technology outsourcing (ITO) rose 7.8 percent in 2011, according to new data from research firm Gartner.

The rankings remained relatively unchanged, though Gartner might be able to simply omit IBM (NYSE: IBM) from its list over the next several years. IBM held the top-spot for 2011 with 7.8 percent of revenue growth to $26.92 billion. Total market share for IBM was 10.9 percent.

Next on the list was Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), which saw ITO revs grow just 2 percent to $15.11 billion. That's about 44 percent less than number one IBM. Market share for H-P was 6.1 percent.

Third was Fujitsu, with revs ripping 10.3 percent to $10.98 billion. CSC (NYSE: CSC) was fourth with flat growth and $10.37 billion in revs. Finally, Accenture rounded out the top five with growth of 18.2 percent to $6.53 billion.

Gartner noted: "Forty-three providers booked 2011 revenues of $1 billion or more. This group of providers collectively grew by 9.5 percent during 2011. After excluding India-based IT services providers, cloud-centric providers, and providers that made sizable acquisitions during the year, the remaining group of large ITO providers grew by only 6.5 percent during 2011."

IBM and the other stocks are all trading in positive territory Monday.
