Helicos (HLCS) Receives $1000 Award From the National Human Genome Research Institute
Helicos BioSciences Corporation (Nasdaq: HLCS) announced today the reception of $1000 from the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI).
The award is part of a two year grant for the Sequencing Technology Development Program representing NHGRI's Signature Project for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act's effort to jump start the economy and create or save millions of jobs. The grant's total award is $2.9 million.
The Helicos Genetic Analysis System is the world's first and only commercially available, single molecule sequencing technology.
