Hawaiian Airlines (HA) Reports May Load Factor Declined 2.4%
Hawaiian Airlines, Inc., a subsidiary of Hawaiian Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: HA), announced its systemwide traffic statistics for May and year-to-date.
For the month of May 2009, systemwide load factor declined 2.4% points to 83.3% compared to 85.7% in the year earlier period with traffic declining 2.0% compared to a 0.9% increase in capacity. Hawaiian's statistics for May 2008 reflect the immediate impact of a surge in passengers following the collapse of two of its competitors.
