Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) 2011 acquisition of restaurant review giant Zagat might finally start roasting the competition.

According to the official Google blog, the search giant has unveiled Google+ Local, which integrates Zagat ratings right into search results.

Google+ Local will be integrated into Search, Maps and mobile and available as a new tab in Google+.

The blog notes: "From the new 'Local' tab on the left-hand side of Google+, you can search for specific places or browse for ones that fit your mood. If you click on a restaurant, or a museum (or whatever), you’ll be taken to a local Google+ page that includes photos, Zagat scores and summaries, reviews from people you know, and other useful information like address and opening hours."

Shares of Google are off about 1.5 percent Wednesday. Traders may want to watch shares of Yelp (Nasdaq: YELP) as a direct competitor to the new Google feature.
