Frontier (RJET) Reports 5 Point Increase in January Load Factor
Frontier Airlines, a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings (Nasdaq: RJET), has reported preliminary traffic results for January 2012. Frontier’s traffic decreased 2%, to 0.9 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), while capacity was down, at 1.1 billion available seat miles (ASMs). Frontier Airlines served 1.0 million passengers in January, a 3% decrease from January 2011. For the month, Frontier had a load factor of 80% compared to 75% in the same month last year. It was Frontier’s seventh consecutive record monthly load factor.
