Ford (F) Europe Sales Fall in January, But Still Outpace Industry
According to data from Ford Wednesday, European sales fell 5 percent to 94,100 vehicles during January, though the overall market was down 7.2 percent.

Ford offered some interesting tidbits:
- In the U.K., Ford's largest market in Europe, the company's new-car registrations fell by 2.5 percent to 23,700 vehicles. Market share was down 0.2 percentage points at 16 percent.
- In Germany, Ford's second largest market in Europe, sales volume was down 1 percent at 17,000 vehicles.
- Outside Ford's 19 traditional European markets, sales in Russia surged 80 percent to 6,500 vehicles last month.
- Ford's best-selling models in Europe were the small Fiesta and the compact Focus last month.
