ec-H2O(TM) technology takes center stage at Tennant Company's 2009 ISSA booth;
Technology is now third-party validated to reduce environmental footprint and under development with Kaivac to bring ec-H2O to No-Touch CleaningTM Systems
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC) will share new and better ways to clean at ISSA/INTERCLEAN North America 2009, taking place at McCormick Place in Chicago from October 6-9. In particular, the Company is showcasing its revolutionary and patent-pending ec-H2O chemical-free cleaning technology.
"In the two years since we introduced the cleaning industry to chemical-free cleaning, our ec-H2O technology has become a standard for sustainable cleaning," said Chris Killingstad, president and CEO of Tennant Company. "We are delighted to put ec-H2O center stage at this year's ISSA show and to highlight several new ec-H2O developments as well as additional company products and programs that will further help our customers achieve environmental and financial success."
Among the ec-H2O developments Tennant Company is unveiling at ISSA are the findings of an environmental footprint reduction study coauthored by the University of Tennessee and EcoForm. The study compared ec-H2O technology with traditional cleaning detergents across seven critical environmental and health categories. Heavily lauded by both industry and environmental leaders for its cleaning performance as well as its benefits to safety, the environment and the cleaning industry, the independent third-party study confirms that ec-H2O technology significantly reduces the customer's environmental footprint.
In addition, the company is announcing that it is in joint development with Kaivac to incorporate ec-H2O technology into Kaivac's No-Touch Cleaning Systems. When available, Kaivac customers will be able to sanitize even heavily soiled restrooms without the use of chemicals, making cleaning more effective, productive, safer and environmentally friendly. This is the second application advancement for ec-H2O outside of the Tennant and Nobles product lines; last year, Activeion(TM) Cleaning Solutions launched its ec-H2O-powered Activeion Pro hand-held cleaner. Activeion just announced the launch of its second product, the Ionator, which uses an enhancement to Tennant's proprietary ec-H2O technology.
Tennant is sharing more detailed information on the environmental footprint reduction study findings and is featuring ec-H2O-equipped Tennant, Nobles, Kaivac and Activeion cleaning products in its booth throughout the ISSA show. And while ec-H2O technology is central to Tennant Company's ISSA exhibit, the booth also uses informational kiosks and product displays to communicate how the company exceeds its customers' expectations by delivering a wide array of revolutionary cleaning solutions for indoor and outdoor environments, such as Tennant's S20 compact mid-sized rider sweeper, as well as operational and financing solutions, sales and service support, floor coatings, and key industry partnerships.
Tennant Company is also participating in the 2009 ISSA Green Connections Center by demonstrating the Tennant T3 walk-behind automatic scrubber with ec-H2O technology on Thursday, October 8, at 9:30 a.m. and Friday, October 9, at 11:30 a.m.
