Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) is coming out with its next iPhone pretty soon -- that's already known.
According to reports, however, there may be a delay to its launch, and lack of supply thereafter.
The New York Times reports Friday Apple will launch a new, sleeker, fancier iPhone 5 before the end of the year. However, the publication notes the device is seeing continued "design and production delays," at least on one assembly line.
What does this mean? Well, NYTimes thinks there might be a slight delay at the very least, and shortages of the iPhone 5 all the way until early 2012.
The device is expected to be carried by the three major U.S. wireless giants: AT&T (NYSE: T), Verizon (NYSE: VZ), and Sprint (NYSE: S).
