Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG) announced a new five-year contract with Brasil Telecom S.A. (NYSE: BTM) to expand the use of Convergys' Infinys(TM) software to support Brasil Telecom's wireless, wireline, data, and Internet services. Since 2002, Infinys, the leading convergent BSS software, has supported Brasil Telecom's fixed telephony customers and, as of 2003, its wireless subscribers.
"As part of the new agreement, Convergys will provide consulting and professional services for software customization and implementation of the solution across Brasil Telecom's lines of business," said Dante Nardelli Junior, Brasil Telecom CTO.
