Citigroup (C) Files to Sell $950M Subordinated Notes Held by U.S. Treasury

Citigroup, Inc. (NYSE: C) filed a registration with the U.S. SEC for the sale of $950 million in Subordinated Notes. Timing and interest rates on the notes weren't determined at the time of the initial filing.
The notes will be sold by the United States Department of the Treasury with Citi not receiving proceeds from any of the sales.
The offering will be made through Citi, Goldman, Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan, UBS Investment Bank, Wells Fargo Securities, Barclays, BofA Merrill Lynch, ING, RBS, and SMBC Nikko.
Citi is down over 1 percent early Monday.
