CenturyLink (CTL), Qwest (Q) Clear Final Hurdle in Proposed Merger
CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) and Qwest Communications (NYSE: Q) have received approval for their proposed merger by the Public Utility Commission of Oregon (PUC).
The motion from PUC is the final approval needed to complete the merger. The companies expect to close the merger and combine operations on April 1, 2011.
