CB&I (CBI) Awarded Contracts From BCPL
CB&I (NYSE: CBI) announced that Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited has awarded contracts for the license and basic engineering of two new chemical plants to Lummus Technology. BCPL's ethylene plant, which has a design capacity of 220,000 metric tons per annum, will utilize Lummus Technology's proprietary ethylene technology. The downstream polypropylene plant, which has a design capacity of 60,000 MTA, will utilize Novolen advanced gas-phase polypropylene technology. The two plants will be built in Lepetkata, Assam, India.
