BTU International, Inc. (Nasdaq: BTUI) announced the appointment of Peter J. Tallian as chief financial officer (CFO).
Tallian, 51, whose appointment takes effect immediately, reports directly to Paul J. van der Wansem, BTU's chairman and chief executive officer.

"Peter's experience and skills are ideally suited to our needs, and we are confident that he will contribute greatly to our future growth, especially as we expand our business as a provider of equipment and processes to the alternative energy markets."
