Telvent GIT, S.A. (Nasdaq: TLVT) has been selected by BP Solar International, Inc., an alternative energy subsidiary to BP (NYSE: BP) and one of the world's leading solar companies, to deploy control technology for BP Solar's Global Operations Center initiative. Collecting solar data across the world will enable BP Solar to accurately verify data reporting − both by BP Solar as well as its clients − regarding solar usage and capacity, which is one element of BP Solar's energy management services.
With the first stage of implementation, Telvent will provide hosting, monitoring and control services for BP Solar plants, stations, customers and offices around the globe.
