AutoNation (AN) Announces 9% Increase in July 2015 U.S. Retail Sales

AutoNation (NYSE: AN) announced that it reported to automotive manufacturers, based on their respective sales transaction reporting standards, retail sales of 29,875 new vehicles in July 2015, an increase of 9% as compared to July 2014. July 2015 reported retail new vehicle unit sales for AutoNation's operating segments were as follows:

• 9,657 for Domestic, up 14% versus July 2014,
• 14,434 for Import, up 4% versus July 2014, and
• 5,784 for Premium Luxury, up 13% versus July 2014.

On a same-store basis, reported retail new vehicle unit sales in July 2015 were up 7% as compared to July 2014.

AutoNation expects to announce August 2015 reported retail new vehicle unit sales on Wednesday, September 2, 2015.
