Apple (AAPL) Resumes Sales of 3G-Enabled iOS Products in Germany
Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) said the permanent injunction against the sale of its 3G-enabled iOS devices in Germany has been lifted.
According to Slash Gear, Apple said the ban is gone and sales of iPads, iPhone 3G, 3GS, and 4 will continue on its online store. In a statement to Slash Gear, Apple stated: "Apple appealed this ruling because Motorola (NYSE: MMI) repeatedly refuses to license this patent to Apple on reasonable terms, despite having declared it an industry standard patent seven years ago."
Specifically, Apple said Motorola won't license 3G/UTMS patent under Fair, Reasonable, and non-Discriminatory terms.
Apple shares are up 0.8 percent Friday.
