Akron, Ohio Transit Agency Selects Clean Energy (CLNE) to Operate Its CNG Bus Fueling Facility

METRO RTA, the public transit provider for the City of Akron and Summit County, Ohio, has awarded Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE) a five-year contract to operate and maintain the fueling station for METRO's fleet of 45 full-sized compressed natural gas (CNG) buses.

Located south of Cleveland, with a population of more than 200,000, Akron is the largest city in Summit County's 420-square mile territory. METRO RTA averages six million transit passenger trips a year on more than 30 routes throughout the County.

Clean Energy is the leading provider of natural gas for transportation in North America.
