After-Hours Movers 2/4: SiRF Tech (SIRF) Sinks On Weak Results; Illumina (ILMN) Higher on Strong Results/Guidance

SiRF Technology Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: SIRF) 37% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.28, 4 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.32. Revenues for the quarter were $100.4 million, versus the consensus of $100.99 million.

GTC Biotherapeutics (Nasdaq: GTCB) 17% HIGHER; announced that ATryn(R) has met the statistical requirements for the primary endpoint in the pivotal study for the treatment of patients with hereditary antithrombin deficiency, or HD, undergoing high-risk surgical or childbirth procedures. The primary endpoint was demonstration of non-inferiority to plasma-derived antithrombin in preventing clinically relevant deep vein thromboses, or DVTs, or other thromboembolisms.

Sun-Times Media Group (NYSE: SVN) 16% HIGHER; announced that its Board has begun an evaluation of the Company's strategic alternatives to enhance shareholder value. These alternatives may include, but are not limited to, joint ventures or strategic partnerships with third parties, and/or the sale of the Company or any or all of its assets.

NetScout Systems (Nasdaq: NTCT) 14% HIGHER; reports a Q4 GAAP-loss of $0.09, non-GAAP EPS of $0.17, topping the analyst estimate of ($0.21). Revenues for the quarter were $53.7 million, versus the consensus of $47.57 million.

Thornburg Mortgage, Inc. (NYSE: TMA) 11% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.33, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.27.

Illumina (Nasdaq: ILMN) 7% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.38, 13 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.25. Revenues for the quarter were $112.6 million, versus the consensus of $105.32 million. Q1 33-36 cents versus 26 cents, full year 08 eps estimates 1.45 to 1.60 versus 1.23

SAVVIS, Inc. (Nasdaq: SVVS) 6% HIGHER; reports a Q4 loss of $0.05, 7 cents lower than the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenues for the quarter were $198 million, versus the consensus of $198.11 million. Sees FY08 revenues of $910 to $925 million, versus the consensus of $906.3 million.

Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) 4.5% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $1.05, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $1.00. Revenues for the quarter were $4.16 billion, versus the consensus of $4.06 billion. Sees Q4 EPS of $1.33 to $1.43, versus the consensus of $1.47 and revenues of $4.2 to $4.5 billion, versus $4.4 billion.

Synchronoss Technologies (Nasdaq: SNCR) 4% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.22, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenues for the quarter were $36.4 million, versus the consensus of $35.65 million.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide (NYSE: HOT) 4% HIGHER; In a 13D filing on Starwood, Sam Zell's EGI disclosed a 7.72% stake (14,750,000 shares) in the company.

Boston Scientific Corp. (NYSE: BSX) 3.5% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.24, ex-items, versus the consensus of $0.09 (may not compare). BSX revenues came in at $2.152 billion, versus the consensus of $2.13 billion. Sees Q1 adj-EPS of $0.15-$0.20, versus the consensus of $0.12. Sees Q1 revs of $1.96-$2.08 billion, versus the consensus of $2.09 billion.

SOHU.com (Nasdaq: SOHU) 3.5% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.43, 12 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.31. Revenues for the quarter were $65.3 million, versus the consensus of $55.42 million. Boosts its previously issued guidance. The Company now expects Q1 revenues of $66.5 to $68.5 million, versus the consensus of $59 million. Sees Q1 EPS of $0.43 to $0.45, versus the consensus of $0.32.

National Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE: NSM) 3.3% LOWER; is lowering its sales outlook for the third quarter of fiscal 2008, ending February 24, 2008. National had originally guided on December 6, 2007 that third quarter fiscal 2008 sales were expected to be down 1 percent to 5 percent sequentially. The company now expects sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2008 to range from approximately $450 million to $455 million, down from the $499 million in sales that were achieved in the second quarter of fiscal 2008.

Unisys Corp. (NYSE: UIS) 3% HIGHER; A number of insiders disclosed purchases of the stock after the close. We see 8 purchase transaction disclosed today.

Manitowoc (NYSE: MTW) 3% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.74, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.68. Revenues for the quarter were $1.1 billion, versus the consensus of $1.01 billion. Manitowoc sees full-year 07 EPS $2.68 versus consensus of $2.59 and revenue is expected to be $4 billion versus consensus of $3.91 billion.

Seagate Technology (NYSE: STX) 2.8% HIGHER; announced that its Board has approved an increase in its quarterly dividend from $0.10 to $0.12 per share, effective with the dividend expected to be paid to shareholders after the conclusion of the company's third fiscal quarter of 2008. Additionally, the Board of Directors has authorized the company to repurchase up to an additional $2.5 billion of its outstanding common shares over the next 24 months. This new share repurchase authorization continues our commitment to enhancing shareholder value

Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM) 1.8% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.44, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenues for the quarter were $3.26 billion, versus the consensus of $3.14 billion. Boosts previously issued guidance. FY08 EPS of $1.82 to $1.85, versus the consensus of $1.87.
