Aeropostale (ARO) Reports Same Store Sales Increase 9%; Raises Q3 Earnings Guidance

Aeropostale, Inc. (NYSE: ARO) announced that same store sales increased 9% for the month, compared to a same store sales increase of 13% in the year ago period.
Year to date, total net sales have increased 20% to $1.103 billion, from $921.4 million in the year ago period. Year to date, same store sales have increased 11%, compared to a same store sales increase of 11% last year.
Based on the better than expected results for the month, ARO now sees its earnings in the range of $0.78 to $0.80 per diluted share, compared to its previously issued earnings guidance in the range of $0.76 to $0.78 per share versus consensus of $0.79.
