Gold, VIX Jump Higher on Malaysian Plane Crash
Traders are moving to risk trading vehicles amid news a Malaysian Air flight with 295 on board crashed in Ukraine near the boarder of Russia and may have been shot down:
- The VIX is up 16%, the most since April.
- Spot gold is up $22.40 to $1322
- GLD (NYSE: GLD) is up 1.7%
