Analysts at Capital Economics think corn prices could decline to $6.75 per bushel. In a report today, researchers said ethanol demand might be 10 percent lower than government estimates due to a decline in oil prices, which is curbing demand. There is also a chance the U.S. may reduce its blend requirements.
Severe drought in the U.S. caused a spike in corn prices to a record $8.49 per bushel earlier this month, and prices remain elevated.
Teucrium Corn ETF traded higher by 2.15 percent intraday on Monday (CORN).
