Exceptional, Trust-Based Workplace Culture Puts WWT on Prestigious List for Fifth Consecutive Year

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading technology integrator is one of the 2016 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For, according to global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work® and Fortune Magazine. WWT ranked 38 on the prestigious list, now in its 19th year, which recognizes companies that have exceptional workplace cultures. This is the fifth consecutive year that WWT has appeared on the 100 Best Companies to Work For list.

WWT was selected among hundreds of companies vying for a place on the list this year. Applicant companies opt to participate in the selection process, which includes an employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about their programs and company practices. Great Place to Work® then evaluates each application using its unique methodology based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

Creators of the methodology behind the list, Great Place to Work® has found that employees believe they work for great organizations when they consistently trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with.

“WWT’s unique culture is built upon a framework that embodies trust, respect and fairness, and our core values foster pride and camaraderie among our employees,” said WWT’s chief executive officer and co-founder Jim Kavanaugh. “We are incredibly honored to be recognized by Fortune for the fifth consecutive year for our trust-based workplace and thank our employees once again for their powerful and longstanding dedication to WWT, its customers and our partners.”

This award follows closely on WWT’s recent recognition by Great Place to Work and Fortune as #3 on their 2016 Best Workplaces in Technology list and one of the Best Workplaces for Camaraderie in January of this year. WWT was also named among the Top 10 Best Workplaces for Diversity in November 2015, as well as one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Women in September 2015.

“The 100 best workplaces are at the vanguard of an emerging movement,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work®. “It’s a movement of great workplaces for all—for people of all backgrounds, geographies and job titles. The 100 best and those that join them are enjoying better business outcomes even as they build a better society.”

Organizations named on the list see many benefits that include better financial performance, less employee turnover, higher levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, more innovative and creative thinking, higher productivity and enhanced public perception.
