May 6, 2015 4:59 PM EDT

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, today announced it has been awarded the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V (SEWP V) vehicle. The Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) is for 10 years with a five-year base period and a five-year option to extend. It has a ceiling of $20 billion.

WWT received awards for both categories open to large businesses: Groups A (Computer Technology Servers/Cloud Services) and D (Supporting Technology Network/Security). The company has held the SEWP contract for more than nine years and is currently the leading SEWP supplier, achieving almost $1.5 billion in sales under SEWP IV, and delivering an estimated 10 percent of SEWP’s total products and services spend.

“We are very pleased that NASA has recognized the experience and technical expertise WWT has brought to past SEWP projects,” said Bob Olwig, Vice President of Business Strategy and Innovation for WWT. “We know that this is a very competitive selection process, and we are honored to have been chosen.”

WWT is also strategic partners with three winning small businesses on SEWP V – ABM Federal, Optivor and Unistar-Sparco. All were awarded contracts under Group C (Supporting Technology Multi-Functional Devices (MFD)/Audio-Visuals). WWT adds SEWP V to its well-established list of purchasing vehicles, including NETCENTS-2, ITES-2H, GSA Schedule and NIH ESC III.

The principle purpose of SEWP V is to provide state-of-the-art information technology (IT) and computer technologies, high-end scientific and engineering processing capabilities, network equipment and peripherals. NASA has awarded contracts to more than 40 vendors for parts of this multi-award GWAC. Both SEWP IV and SEWP V contracts were awarded based on a competitive source selection process. According to Washington Technology, NASA received 233 proposals for SEWP V for awards in five business categories.
