Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) posted the following to its blog on Thursday:
On Thursday, Skype group video calling for iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets started rolling out in North America and Western Europe, with the rollout expected to be completed in the next week or so, and with availability worldwide in March. Skype is also increasing the number of people who can have a video call from five to 25.
“Now that group video calling is available on all platforms, nobody gets left out,” writes the Skype Team in a blog post. “Whether you’re on a laptop, desktop, mobile or tablet, everyone can be part of the fun without having to plan and schedule – spontaneous get-togethers can just happen, whenever the mood takes you.”
