Oppenheimer maintains a 'Perform' on Teva Pharma (NASDAQ: TEVA).
Analyst, Christopher Holterhoff, said, "TEVA reported 2Q12 adj. EPS of $1.28, slightly above our $1.27 est., on rev. of $~5B, vs. our est. of ~$5.1B. We note that TEVA launched 12 products during the quarter, representing $17B in brand value. TEVA purchased ~3.5M shares ($35M aggregate spend) during 2Q12 ($667M aggregate spend on $3B repurchase program in 1H12). We highlight that TEVA also paid down ~$500M in debt and refinanced $3.4B of short-term debt which improved debt-to-EBITDA ratio to 2.2x from 2.6x. We adjust our estimates and look for insight from management into long-term strategic initiatives, pipeline developments, and BD commentary at the 12/11 Analyst Day."
FY12 EPS Estimate raised from $5.38 to $5.40 and FY13 from $5.91 to $6.01.
