BofA/Merrill Lynch analyst Seth Weiss reiterated a Buy rating and $67 price target on MetLife (NYSE: MET) following a "strong beat" in Q3.
"Adjusting for non-normal items, MET would have reported EPS of $1.51, still well above consensus and our adjusted estimate of $1.40," the analyst said.
Weiss noted a return to normalcy across operating segments, a beat in Corporate which was not immaterial, interest rate dependent businesses holding up well, and the company returned to buybacks with $438M in the quarter.
