Pacific Crest maintained a Sector Perform rating on Lending Club (NYSE: LC) following the release of the company's Q1 results. Analyst Josh Beck said risk/reward in the stock was improving.
Beck explained, "Originations meaningfully exceeded our expectations due to established programs leading to better-than-expected revenue and profitability. Sales and marketing efficiency improved from last year despite expanded health care sales, which countered some industry commentary we had picked up that suggested lower conversion and irrational ad pricing. Strong execution and higher estimates skew the risk/reward more positive for LC shares."
