MKM Partners reiterates a 'Buy' on Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ: ATVI) price target of $17.00.
Analyst, Eric Handler, said, "Based on the 2Q outperformance, partially offset by a more conservative (and likely beatable) outlook for 2H12 we are raising our 2012 EPS to an above guidance $1.04 (+12%) from our prior $1.00 projection. We are lowering our 3Q12 EPS to $0.10 (+34%) from our prior $0.13 estimate. This expectation is ahead of guidance of $0.07. Ongoing sales for Diablo 3 and contributions from the online auction house plus the launch of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria should drive upside relative to guidance. A high level of digital revenue could produce an operating margin of roughly 22% compared to management’s 15% expectation."
