Susquehanna maintains Neutral on AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) price target of $15.00.
Analyst Chris Rolland says that AMD GPU share is benefiting in a positive way from the recent Vega release. The analyst notes ASPs are seeing a "massive" inflection and notes the new Ryzen lineup is pushing CPU share in desktops for Q3.
Rolland continues "AMD CPU gains in desktops in Q317; ASPs also helped. With all models of Ryzen in the desktop channel (Ryzen 3 began shipping in late July), AMD's share of desktop CPUs jumped from 7.4% to 10.5% (an up from 6.0% before Ryzen's launch). Ryzen may help AMD increase CPU ASPs as much as +70%!" This is a positive for AMD and negative for Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) according to the research note.
