BTIG's Walter Piecyk just issued a research note considering reduced ship times for online purchase's of Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) newest iPad.

About 45 days following the launch, shipping times for these purchases has already shortened to just three to five days, much faster than the four months it took for ship times to fall to this level for the first two iPad's, and versus the three months it took the iPhone and iPhone 4S to fall to three to five days. Piecyk said, "The shorter shipping times could clearly be a result of Apple doing a better job of ramping its capacity to handle the high demand..." That being said, the analyst noted iPad supplies remain constrained around the globe.

The firm maintains a Neutral rating on shares of Apple.

The stock is up about 0.4 percent to $584.50 at last check.
