Pre-Open Movers 8/14: Briggs & Stratton (BGG) Sinks On Results/Guidance; Invesco (IVZ) Up After S&P 500 Nod

Power Medical Intervention, Inc. (Nasdaq: PMII) 52% LOWER; reports a Q2 loss of $0.67, 12 cents worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.55). Revenues for the quarter were $2.16 million, versus the consensus of $3.16 million.

Spreadtrum Communications (Nasdaq: SPRD) 20% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.06, versus the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenues for the quarter were $40.2 million, versus the consensus of $39.92 million. Spreadtrum Communications sees Q3 revenues of $20 million versus consensus of $45 million.

China GrenTech Corp. (Nasdaq: GRRF) 15% LOWER; reports a Q2 loss of $0.10, 6 cents lower than the analyst estimate of ($0.04). Revenues for the quarter were $27.2 million, versus the consensus of $28.05 million.

Heelys, Inc. (Nasdaq: HLYS) 13% HIGHER; Skechers USA Inc. (NYSE: SKX) made an acquisition proposal to acquire Heelys for $5.25 per share, or an aggregate of $142.8 million.

Clean Energy Fuels (Nasdaq: CLNE) 12% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.00, ex-items, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.11). Revenues for the quarter were $34.6 million, versus the consensus of $33.78 million.

FieldPoint Petroleum Corporation (AMEX: FPP) 11% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.07, versus $0.02 in Q207. Revenues for the quarter were $2.00 million, compared to $995K in the same quarter last year.

Briggs & Stratton Corp. (NYSE: BGG) 10% LOWER; reports a Q4 loss of $0.15, ex-gain, versus the consensus of a $0.23 profit. Revenues came in at $581.1 milion, versus the consensus of $634 million. Briggs & Stratton sees 2009 net sales up 5%-6%. Sees FY EPS of $0.85-$0.93, below the consensus of $1.08.

Virgin Mobile USA, Inc. (NYSE: VM) 9% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.07, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenues for the quarter were $317.4 million, versus the consensus of $314.30 million. Sees Q3 EPS of $0.00-$0.03, versus the consensus of $0.08 and revs of $285-$295 million, versus $320.24 million.

Global Sources Ltd. (Nasdaq: GSOL) 8% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.21, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenues for the quarter were $63.7 million, versus the consensus of $62.49 million. Sees Q3 sales of $38.5-$39 million, versus the consensus of $40.75 million and non-GAAP EPS in the range of $0.04-$0.05, versus the Street estimate of $0.16. Sees 2H revs of $108-$109.5 million and non-GAAP EPS of $0.27-$0.29.

Estee Lauder (NYSE: EL) 6% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.61, above the consensus of $0.56. Revenues came in at $2.01 billion, versus the consensus of $1.93 billion. Estee Lauder sees Q1 EPS of $0.18-$0.25, versus the consensus of $0.24. Estee Lauder sees FY EPS of $2.57-$2.72, versus the consensus of $2.66.

Invesco Ltd. (NYSE: IVZ) 5% HIGHER; will replace IAC/InterActiveCorp. (NASDAQ: IACI) in the S&P 500

NetApp, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTAP) 4% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.22, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.22. Revenues for the quarter were $869 million, versus the consensus of $861.60 million. Sees Q2 EPS of $0.27-$0.30, versus the consensus of $0.30 and revs of $910-$940 million, versus the cosnensus of $918.2 million. Authorized a $1 billion buyback.

NetEase.com Inc (Nasdaq: NTES) 3.5% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.49, 10 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.39. Revenues for the quarter were $104.4 million, versus the consensus of $98.99 million.

Buckle Inc. (NYSE: BKE) 3.4% HIGHER; will replace W-H Energy Services Inc. (NYSE: WHQ) in the S&P SmallCap 600.

Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (Nasdaq: CTRP) 3% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.32 adjusted, 12 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenues for the quarter were $55 million, versus the consensus of $53.81. million. Ctrip.com approves buyback up to $15 million. Sees FY08 revenues up 15% to 20%.

Stepan Co. (NYSE: SCL) 1.4% HIGHER; will replace Building Materials Holding Corp. (NYSE: BLG) in the S&P SmallCap 600
