Pali Research commented on Blockbuster Inc. (NYSE: BBI) today, noting that Rentrak data showed that DVD rentals rose 0.5% for the first half of 2008 (ex Blu-Ray). Pail said there are several reasons driving the improvement, including kiosk and the fact that consumers tend to rent more during tough economic times.
Pali said this information is worth highlighting going into the company's' Q2 release on Thursday.
