Oppenheimer maintained an Outperform NCR Corp. (NYSE: NCR) with a price target of $28.00. NCR is a manufacturer of ATMs, self-service kiosks, POS devices, and business consumables to the financial, retail, travel, and gaming industries. Yesterday the company reported Q3 EPS of that beat estimates by 5 cents.
The solid earnings report was helped by what Oppenheimer analyst Ian Zaffino called "impressive margins" in retail in hospitality.
"Overall, another strong quarter despite weakness reported by competitors [Diebold (NYSE: DBD)]. The ongoing pension pre-fund could add an impressive $6 to the share price--e.g., $2 from the $800M buyout and $4 from the removal of the pension overhang (which could allow NCR to trade in line with DBD)," said Zaffino.

Shares of NCR Corp. closed at $22.16 yesterday, with a 52 week range of $15.68-$25.99.
