- Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) announced the acquisition of Fabric.com, a leading online fabric store that offers custom measured and cut fabrics, as well as patterns, sewing tools and accessories.
This acquisition will enable Fabric.com to further expand its selection of fabrics and accessories while enabling Amazon.com to offer its customers a wider variety of products in the sewing, craft and hobby segment.
- Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ: PRGS) and IONA Technologies plc (NASDAQ: IONA) jointly announced that they have signed a definitive agreement under which Progress Software has agreed to acquire IONA for $4.05 per share in cash.
IONA closed at $3.60 yesterday.
The IONA Technologies Board of Directors has unanimously approved the transaction and each IONA Technologies director has entered into an agreement to vote in favor of the transaction.
- Sourcefire Inc. (Nasdaq: FIRE) yesterday announced that Barracuda Networks Inc. increased its offer to acquire the company from $7.50 to $8.25 per share in cash.
