Nomura Securities reiterates a 'Buy' on AMD (NYSE: AMD), PT $12.
Nomura analyst, Romit Shah, said, "Yesterday, AMD announced the availability of the 32nm A-series APUs (codenamed Llano). A-series APUs will offer up to 10.5hrs of battery life, which is 50% higher than the earlier Danube notebook platform and is very competitive with Intel’s offerings. We believe this is significant as this is the first time AMD offers a competitive battery life in notebooks. We continue to believe that AMD should pick up a couple points (1-2%) of share per year in mainstream notebooks. More importantly, we see the new A-series driving notebook processor ASPs from $43 in 2010 to $62 in 2011."
