Nomura Securities maintains a 'Buy' on NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) price target of $18.00.
Analyst, Romit Shah, said, "Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) launched an Android tablet, Nexus 7, at its developer conference today. The device will ship in July to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Prices start at $199 for the 8GB version and $249 for the 16GB version. Google offers a $25 credit to the Google Play store. The 7-inch Nexus 7 is equipped with Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor and a 12-core GPU. Today’s announcement comes on the heels of the Microsoft Surface (Nasdaq: MSFT) win, which could build 4-5mn units in the fall. We expect Tegra revenue to grow in the second half, and we forecast Tegra revenue of $550mn in 2012, up from $360mn in 2011. We are positive on shares of NVIDIA, which trade at near historically low multiples of 13x earnings and 1x EV/sales."
