Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on Annaly Capital Management (NYSE: NLY) price target of $16.50.

Analyst, Bill Carcache, said, "Excluding the impact of unrealized gains and losses on interest rate swaps, Annaly reported 4Q11 EPS of $0.54 per share, largely in line with our estimate of $0.55 and consensus of $0.56. Although investment return expectations have fallen as the yield curve has flattened, the company appears to be managing through this phase of the cycle as expected. 4Q11 book value fell to $16.06, down from $16.22 in 3Q11, and the CPR for 4Q11 came in at 22%, up from 18% in 3Q11."
