Jefferies Comments on rue21 (RUE) Q3

Yesterday rue21, inc. (NASDAQ: RUE) reported Q3 EPS that topped estimates, though comps and guidance was a touch weak, in part because of a slowdown in accessories.

Commenting on the results, Jefferies analyst Randal J. Konik said, "This trend appears to be turning and mgmt is very optimistic about the holiday season with record Thanksgiving results and strong momentum heading into December."

Konik thinks management was being conservative with Q4 guidance. Overall, Jefferies likes RUE's "store growth profile, relevant business model and unique real estate strategy".

Jefferies has a Buy rating on rue21, inc. (NASDAQ: RUE) and a price target of $40.00.
